Mims Family History – 21st Century Updated is a 124-pages magazine that tells stories of the author’s ancestors including the historical times which they lived, beginning with slavery.  Various photos, including some that are rare, gives additional impact to the special stories and biographies of the author’s ancestors from the 19th and 20th centuries.  The magazine also includes family tree charts; death certificates; a late relative’s hand-written notes on 19th century family members; and listings of over 80 births, marriages, and death dates of ancestors.  Readers will find this magazine interesting and captivating.

Marcus N. Mims is a human resources professional that also happens to be a published author.  He has written four non-fiction books and most recently self-published a magazine as an update to the original Mims Family History book.  Marcus has also written and produced several video documentaries.  A graduate of Franklin College in Franklin, Indiana with a BA degree in Journalism, Marcus has written for the Indianapolis Recorder and has done freelance writing for the Chicago Tribune and several others newspapers and magazines.  Marcus has also worked for both large and mid-size health care and insurance companies.  Among the titles he held at these institutions were: human resources manager, employee relations specialist, senior compensation analyst, and compensation manager.

​The updated magazine version of the original book, Mims Family History is completed and available to purchase for $38.  This 124-page magazine includes much of what was in the original book and more.
